Weekly classes
class levels and content
The classes explore the main practices in hatha yoga of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), centering and meditation and how we can creatively work with these practices to bring ourselves to a place of calm and quiet.
The gentle/beginners class is suitable for complete beginners, those with aches, pains or back problems, or those who prefer a gentle slow class.
The hatha yoga class is more dynamic and physically demanding but would still be fine for beginners if you are generally fit and in good health.
Maximum numbers in the class is 15. More typically numbers are around 10 - 12.
joining CLASSES.
It is possible to join classes at any time but please e mail or phone or text 07915 650106 to check there is space. It is best to then drop in once to try the class out.
Block booking
To block book you either buy a card with 5 classes or 10 classes. If you have a card you will always have a space in a class ahead of drop ins if the class is full. I will only ever sell as many cards as there are spaces in the room. See below for prices.
Drops ins
Drop ins are possible if there is space, but if the class is full, block booking card holders have priority.
Payment
You can buy a card in advance either by sending a cheque payable to Neville Cregan to 53 Higher Westonfields, Totnes, TQ9 5RA. Or you can do a BACS to Sort Code 08 93 00 Account Number 13149314 - please then e mail to say you have done this . Or you can pay at class. Prices below.
what to bring
If it is your first time coming to a yoga class then wear loose or stretchy comfortable clothes and avoid eating heavily before the class.
Mats
On Tuesday evenings I have a reasonable number of mats to borrow but in general it is more hygeinic to have your own mat. You can buy one online at www.ruthwhiteyoga.co.uk or on www.amazon.co.uk or at the The Forge Yoga Centre in Totnes.
health check
If you have significant health issues please check with your doctor or health professional that yoga is a suitable activity for your condition. By all means contact me as well.

Regular attendance at classes can take you a long way but additional practice through yoga workshops and yoga residential courses can really enhance your practice.
