Hatha Yoga Courses

Open Classes

Open hatha yoga Classes are possible for anyone to attend who is in basically good health. The universal principles of movement in Hatha Yoga springing from the interrelationship between gravity, breath and the spine are as relevant to the beginner as to the advanced practitioner. Classes are taught in a graded way so that everyone has the opportunity to explore new boundaries safely. Whilst principles are universal, individual conditions must always be considered so classes are kept to a maximum of 10-15 people to allow individual attention. Latest class schedule.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is intended for those whose health requires a gentler or more individualised approach than is available in an open class. The principles are the same except the pace is gentler, adaptations of asanas (poses) are possible and props are used if needed. It is important to note that yoga is not suitable for every kind of health issue - please check with your Doctor or health care professional - and make sure you fully inform your yoga teacher of any conditions. Yoga therapy is best 1:1 or in small groups by arrangement.

1:1 Tuition

1:1 Tuition can either be the primary means of learning or a useful addition to yoga learning at various times. In the case of significant health issues a 1:1 can greatly aid understanding of the condition and how yoga may help. In general terms a 1:1 can accelerate the process of learning and/or shed light on an area especially if you feel stuck. In both cases feedback on practice and hands on assistance is more individualised and home practice programmes can be set up.

Small groups

Small groups are another option for learning; you can set up a group with friends, family or work colleagues at home, work or in a centre.

Workshops

Workshops usually take the form of an extended class, a day or a weekend for a more in depth Yoga practice. To see the workshop timetable click here and/or click here to join my mailing list.
